This slow-cooker, zesty shredded chicken is super easy to make and tastes amazing! This moist and flavorful chicken can be used in so many dishes like tacos, enchiladas, burrito bowls, and more.
Start by placing the chicken breasts in your crockpot.
In a small bowl, mix together the zesty Italian dressing, water, ranch mix, cumin, and chili powder. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
Cook on low for 5 hours and then remove and shred with a fork. The chicken will practically fall apart!
To make the chicken extra moist and flavorful, add it back into the crockpot after shredding. This will allow it to soak up more of that yummy sauce it has been cooking in!
After mixing, the chicken can be served immediately, or let it soak up the sauce by turning the crockpot to warm and leaving it for a little while.
This chicken can be used in so many dishes! I’ve used it on tacos, enchiladas, or on a salad. My absolute favorite way to serve it is in a burrito bowl.

- 5 chicken breasts
- 1 cup Zesty Italian dressing
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp cumin
- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- Combine the dressing, water, and ranch packet and pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 5 hours. Remove chicken and shred.
- For extra moist chicken, after shredding, add the chicken back into the sauce.
